Long Beach Grand Prix

This is what the indy cars look like

This is us in our suite, we over look the area where the cars pit. They can change tires, give and oil change, and fill up gas in 7 seconds, it's craze-o

Dario Franchitti, the winner of this years race.

Danica Patrick, she took 4th. I was pretty amazed, and happy that a girl took fourth :)

So last weekend we went to the Long Beach Toyota Grand Prix. It's every year in April for three days and it's a whole lotta cars. Not really my thing but I enjoy being into car racing every now and then. So there are all types of cars involved. There are the indy cars, which are the main event, celebrity car races, drifting, and supped up car racing, i obviously don't know all of the technical terms, but it's serious business. And we get to watch in style, in our covered area that's privately catered and everyone waits on you hand and foot, we are very spoiled people. Anyways, here are some pictures from the races, not too many because we basically get the same ones every year. But enjoy!

Maui madness, and big bear fun

My first surfing lesson, fancy foam board, complete with beautiful crocs. We needed them because of the rocky beach.
I got up the first time, yeah!

My handsome husband, eating lunch in downtown Lahaina.

A gift from the sun, and from my surfing lesson.

Hello my beautifully gorgeous friends and family! I'm finally updating our blog. So we headed home from Maui a week ago and arrived in LAX at 5Am, then we headed home, slept from 7Am-1Pm, then left for Big Bear and arrived at the cabin at 6Pm, yikes. then we bowled the night away and sat in a luke warm hot tub while it snowed around us. After our wonderful weekend, we had Easter sunday and this week I've been without a husband and finished a ten page paper, so for now I'm a free woman and ready for the toyota grand prix in long beach. so i've been crazy busy. Loads of pictures but I hope you enjoy. We had a wonderful beyond amazing spring break!!!!

Looking forward to spring break!

No posts lately unfortunately. Ryan and I haven't been doing anything too exciting seeing as I have been sick with a nasty cold for a week. Yuck! I do not wish to prolong this sickness so I've been at home resting a lot. But we do have something exciting coming up! We have planned a trip to Maui for week over spring break! Yeah! It's my first time going so I'm very excited. Especially about getting a tan and playing all day at the beach! So those are some photos i'm sure you all will be looking forward too :) Oh and I have to share this with those of you who care. Ryan bought me a pair of new shoes, and they're so beautiful! I seriously feel like beyonce when i wear them! Not trying to brag, just want to share my happiness with everyone!!! Yeah! I love my new shoes!!!

Valentine's Day

The Flowers, a little wilted by now

The candy

The adorable movie

This year we did valentine's day a little more low key than usual. Ryan and I love to go crazy for any type of holiday/birthday, but we toned it down a bit. So we just started the morning off with exchanging gifts, ryan got me gorgeous flowers of course, the movie "Baby Mama" (i love love love this movie!!!), and a new blue tooth because since we've been living in california I've been illegally driving while talking on the phone, yikes! This year I got ryan some scrumptious see's candy and a nice cardigan from American Apparel, unfortunately the sweater did not fit, so we had to exchange :( after presents we ate breakfast and headed over to the high school to play tennis, it's our new form of exercise and fun. We're both learning still so it's nothing intense, yet. Then we hung out around the house, ran some errands and then headed over for some dinner at a hole in the wall mexican place, pretty decent food, but not the taco shop, yum! Then we went to see "Coraline" in 3D which I really adored. It's just a really different, creative, and artistic movie. Unfortunately ryan fell asleep in the movie, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a great movie, because it really was. Anyways, i hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend! Oh yeah and my young women and I kind of pigged out with the valentine cupcakes i made and loads of other goodies and treats. they're a bad influence :(

Yummalicious!!! Valentine Cookies!

Tonight our Miamaids and Beehives got together to decorate Valentine cookies. So much fun! And we ate chocolate, frosting, the cookies of course and laughed the whole night. We then made a few extra to take to the girls that couldn't come, and we had loads of fun. I made a few for my valentine too :)
These are the cookies I had decorated, including the one I was eating, yum!

My beautiful beehive girls!

All the girls, including Haylee and Claire who were on their cell phones the whole night! Yikes, cell phones are bad news in the hands of teenagers.

Happy early Valentine's Day!
